I had the best time today while I was at Washington D.c. To start off I got to really talk to some of the protestors and they explained why they were down there and what they wanted from the governmenet. Not long after getting there I noticed my one of my favorite high teachers there, he wasn’t camping out there but he strongly supports the protestors.
For the first time I got to visit the MLK memorial monument, it was really amazing and I got to share the expeience with some friends.
To end the day we stopped at Ben’s Chili Bowl, which is this little but very popular restaurant at D.c. it is also consider a icon for african movement during the fight for equality and even today. Over all it was great experience and I learned alot from just being down there for a few hours.
